I HAVE NEVER PRACTICED YOGA. WILL THESE CLASSES BE TOO ADVANCED FOR ME?

The beauty of yoga is that anyone that has lungs and a body can practice. Much of the practice is based upon teaching breathwork that is linked to movement. Every Asana (or pose) can be modified to meet your fitness ability.

I HAVE NO FLEXIBILITY WHATSOEVER. ISN'T THAT WHAT YOGA IS PRIMARILY ABOUT?

Not many people are born flexible, and that's normal. Practicing yoga regularly (meaning more than once a week) increases flexibility, mobility, muscle and joint health, and strengthens and lengthens ligaments in the body that are naturally tight. "Props" such as blocks and straps are used as well to aide in your practice. Set your mind at ease. You do not need to be a human pretzel to gain the benefits of yoga :)

HOW CAN CHRISTIANS PRACTICE "HOLY" YOGA AND MEDITATION?

Yoga is not a religion as most people believe. Yoga is a spiritual discipline that has actually pre-dated hinduism. Many Christians today struggle to believe that Yoga can be considered "Holy" to God.  Holy Yoga is not rooted on Hindu spirituality or "oneness" with the universe, rather the focus lies on connecting with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, through prayer, breathwork, worship, meditation and movement. Simply put, Holy Yoga is the modality used that helps transform and renew our minds.  It is your heart's intention that matters. When you are seeking Him with your whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, there is no room for fear. For further reading and understanding, I recommend Holy Yoga, by founder Brooke Boon.

WHAT IS THE AGE LIMIT TO PRACTICING YOGA?

Good news: there is no age limit! If you desire overall wellness in your life, then you are a candidate! Studies have shown that those who make yoga a part of their regular lifestyle will reap the rewards! Lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure, lower levels of cortisol, less depression and anxiety, higher immunity levels (which help fight infection), increased bone density, and generally a more positive outlook on life....to name just a few! Yoga is changing people's lives.....one day at a time.

CAN I TRY A CLASS BEFORE I COMMIT?

Before you purchase a package, (which is by far the most cost-effective) , you can pay a drop-in fee of $20. I can almost guarantee that you will see for yourself,   that this is the best investment you will ever make for your mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional health!

CAN I BRING A FRIEND?

Due to the limited number of spots, you need to make sure there is room when you book the class. Your friend can create an account, and pay the drop-in fee of $20.

CAN I BRING MY CHILD WITH ME?

Children over 16 are welcome to join at the drop-in rate of $20 (unless they have a package as well). Separate classes for kids and pre-teens will be offered throughout the year, so keep checking for classes and special events!

CAN MEN TAKE THE CLASS?

Absolutely! As a matter of fact, men are beginning to catch on that yoga greatly reduces stress from their work environment. Yoga also is a great addition to your weekly workout routine, for athletes, and for preventative injury.
